Tarantula

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The final studio album before the shoegaze pioneers' initial dissolution is notoriously marred by intense, irreparable creative conflicts between primary songwriters Mark Gardener and Andy Bell. The tracks lack a cohesive band identity, feeling more like two completely disparate solo projects haphazardly stitched together, leaning heavily into derivative classic rock tropes. The band had already officially broken up before the album was even released to the public.
