Terras Fames

Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Terras Fames' is the independent debut of Seattle four-piece Rishloo, vocalist Drew Mailloux, guitarist David Gillett, bassist Sean Rydquist and drummer Jesse Smith, a twelve-track record whose title the band glosses as 'the world's poverty of expression'. It moved roughly 2,000 copies on the strength of the word-of-mouth and mailing-list campaign that had already pushed more than 4,000 of the band's three-track EPs as far afield as Australia, and the momentum carried into 2007's 'Eidolon', which lifted their Last.fm plays from 220,000 to a million in six months.
