Album Notes & Community Reviews

Brothers Rizwan and Muazzam Mujahid Ali Khan, nephews and pupils of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, lead their party through six traditional pieces arranged by the brothers themselves, among them praise songs for the Prophet Muhammad, Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, Baba Farid and Shahbaz Qalandar. Produced by Stuart Bruce and recorded in June 2000 at Real World Studios and Millside Studio in Wiltshire, 'A Better Destiny' sets Rahat Ali Khan's lead harmonium and Zafar Ali Khan's tabla beneath the brothers' call and response singing, five of its six pieces running beyond ten minutes.
