Forging a vital connection between original 1950s rock and roll and the burgeoning punk scene, this collaboration pairs a CBGB regular with an instrumental guitar pioneer. The sessions famously featured backing vocals from Bruce Springsteen on his own composition, 'Fire', which he explicitly wrote for Gordon. The record's sharp, stripped-down approach helped ignite a widespread rockabilly revival.
