Riptide

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Leveraging the momentum gained from his time with the supergroup The Power Station, the British vocalist enlisted producer Bernard Edwards to craft his most commercially successful solo endeavor. 'Riptide' brilliantly combined Palmer's sophisticated, blue-eyed soul vocal stylings with hard-hitting, heavily gated snare drums and muscular funk-rock guitars. The record is immortalized by its iconic, MTV-dominating lead single 'Addicted to Love'.
