Album Notes & Community Reviews
For her highly anticipated sophomore release, the prodigious vocalist and pianist continued to blur the lines between classical phrasing, jazz introspection, and gospel-rooted soul. Overseen by producer Joel Dorn, the lushly orchestrated arrangements perfectly complement her meticulously controlled, emotionally devastating vocal deliveries. The sessions successfully consolidated her reputation as a leading figure in sophisticated, adult contemporary R&B.
