Italian multi-instrumentalist Roberto Colombo pushes the boundaries of avant-prog and experimental jazz-rock with the highly eccentric 'Botte da orbi'. The arrangements are dizzyingly complex, utilizing rapid time signature changes, synthesizers, and unpredictable brass interjections. It functions as a brilliant, Zappa-esque subversion of the often self-serious Italian symphonic rock scene.
