Album Notes & Community Reviews

The enigmatic former Soft Boys frontman's second solo outing was heavily compromised by label interference, resulting in a controversially slick, synthesized production that alienated his core audience. Despite Hitchcock's famous dissatisfaction with the final mix, the underlying songwriting retains his brilliant, surrealist wit and distinctively English psychedelic pop sensibilities. The album was later radically remixed and re-released as 'Groovy Decoy' to align closer to his original vision.
