Album Notes & Community Reviews

Known for their silver-painted, extraterrestrial stage personas, the French group leaned heavily into the burgeoning synthpop zeitgeist for their sixth studio album. 'Atomic' completely eschews the hard rock guitars of their earlier space-disco hits in favor of rigid, mechanized synthesizer sequences and vocoder-laden vocals. It represents a significant stylistic pivot as they adapted to the dominant electronic trends of the decade.
