Two Headed Freap

Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Two Headed Freap' is a vibrant, deeply funky cornerstone of the early 1970s soul jazz movement. Driven almost entirely by Foster's masterful, swirling Hammond B-3 organ work, the album lays down thick, syncopated funk grooves backed by crisp, breakbeat-heavy drumming. It seamlessly bridges traditional hard bop with the emerging sounds of R&B and funk, resulting in an incredibly warm and infectious instrumental classic.
