American Stories

Album Notes & Community Reviews

*American Stories* presents a sprawling yet intimate collection of vignettes exploring contemporary American identity. The record expands upon his signature baroque-pop production, integrating glitching electronic textures and warm analog synthesizers with intricate string and woodwind arrangements. Lyrically, it shifts from the abstract to the specific, crafting character-driven narratives that navigate the dichotomies of belonging and alienation. Rostam's distinctive vocal processing and layered harmonies create a soundscape that is simultaneously nostalgic and disorientingly modern, cementing the album as a sophisticated examination of a nation's complex, interwoven tales.
