Album Notes & Community Reviews

The debut solo long-player from the former 'Vampire Weekend' multi-instrumentalist captures a lush synthesis of chamber pop and electronic-inflected indie rock. Recorded in his Los Angeles home studio, the arrangements prioritize intricate string sections and harpsichord textures that reflect his Persian heritage and formal classical training. The record conceptually addresses queer identity and the transition into adult autonomy through a sophisticated and highly produced pop lens.
