Album Notes & Community Reviews

Under the production of Herbie Mann, the gifted vibraphonist explores an accessible, highly rhythmic iteration of contemporary bop and soul-jazz. The session integrates lush string arrangements and prominent funk undertones, predicting the commercially massive jazz-funk crossover movement he would dominate in the 1970s.
