The vibraphonist and his highly versatile ensemble deliver a slick, deeply rhythmic masterpiece of mid-70s jazz-funk. The seamless integration of smooth soul vocals and infectious, syncopated basslines perfectly captures the era's shift toward sophisticated, dancefloor-oriented jazz crossover.
