Roy and Diz #2

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Masterminded by producer Norman Granz, this blistering studio battle pits the foundational architect of bebop trumpet against his primary stylistic predecessor and mentor. The two brass titans engage in a fiercely competitive, exceptionally fast-paced series of cutting contests over a robust rhythm section. The high-energy, historic session serves as an exhilarating, masterfully executed bridge between the swing era and modern jazz virtuosic bravado.
