Album Notes & Community Reviews

Making a highly unexpected transition to a major label during the post-Nirvana signing frenzy, the notoriously drug-addled noise-rock duo delivered a surprisingly focused, deeply sleazy masterpiece. Jennifer Herrema and Neil Hagerty transformed their chaotic, avant-garde sound into a remarkably potent, lo-fi distillation of 1970s Rolling Stones grooves and abrasive punk blues. The incredibly raw, fiercely rebellious record completely subverted mainstream expectations while maintaining their dangerous underground credibility.
