Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded shortly after his massive international resurgence with the Buena Vista Social Club, the octogenarian piano virtuoso delivers a masterful second solo release. 'Chanchullo' was cut during spirited live-in-the-studio sessions in Havana, featuring a robust rhythm section and fiery brass arrangements. The recording highlights González's remarkably fluid, syncopated playing style, cementing his late-career legacy within the Afro-Cuban jazz tradition.
