The solo debut LP of the Daniel's Harbour fiddler, who was born in 1899 and only began a professional career at seventy-five after folklorists sought him out in the mid-1970s. Guinchard played the dance music of the Great Northern Peninsula learned in the lumber camps, and was later appointed to the Order of Canada.
