Album Notes & Community Reviews
'A Tribute to Courage' finds Rufus Harley continuing his highly unconventional use of the bagpipes within a modern jazz framework. The recording is characterized by its quirky, uplifting tone, as Harley bends the unwieldy instrument to fit sophisticated hard bop and soul jazz contexts.
