Album Notes & Community Reviews

Propelled by the inescapable cultural ubiquity of 'Escape (The Pi帽a Colada Song)', this album masterfully balances clever, narrative-driven lyricism with slick, horn-laden pop arrangements. Rupert Holmes expertly merges smooth studio sheen with sharply observant, often humorous storytelling. It stands as a definitive, platinum-selling pillar of the late-seventies yacht rock and adult contemporary explosion.
