Album Notes & Community Reviews

Enlisting Kurt Ballou to produce for the first time, the Chicago instrumental trio significantly amps up the aggressive, metallic distortion on their sixth studio album. The record flawlessly alternates between serene, delay-drenched post-rock soundscapes and overwhelmingly heavy, doom-laden guitar riffs. It proved to be a masterful, dynamic refinement of their cinematic, wordless storytelling.
