Album Notes & Community Reviews

Radically distancing themselves from the dying third-wave ska movement, the California group embraced complex time signatures, politically charged lyricism, and aggressive, post-hardcore intensity. Recorded live in the studio to capture their frenetic stage energy, the genre-blurring compositions effectively established them as sophisticated outliers within the alternative rock scene. The album remains a definitive turning point in their musical evolution.
