Album Notes & Community Reviews
Released as his third studio album of 2005, '29' chronicles the close of a tumultuous decade in the prolific songwriter's life. Helmed by producer Ethan Johns, the collection is stark and loosely structured, heavily colored by the artist's fascination with the Grateful Dead and characterized by melancholy acoustic ramblings and fragile piano ballads.
