Album Notes & Community Reviews

Written in the agonizing wake of his highly public divorce from actress Mandy Moore, the prolific alt-country songwriter leans heavily into 1980s heartland rock. The album channels the polished, arena-sized melancholy of Bruce Springsteen and The Smiths, layering chorus-heavy electric guitars over deeply confessional, bruised lyricism. It was celebrated as one of his most focused and emotionally resonant releases in years.
