Calico

Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Calico' is a deeply intimate and stripped-back effort from Ryan Beatty, leaning heavily into acoustic singer-songwriter and indie folk traditions. Co-produced with Ethan Gruska, the record emphasizes spatial ambiance and poetic lyricism, marking a significant departure from the more pop-oriented sounds of his earlier career. The album intricately explores themes of queer identity, nostalgia, and vulnerability.
