Golden Sings That Have Been Sung

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Working closely with former Wilco multi-instrumentalist LeRoy Bach, the Chicago songwriter pulls back the aggressive jazz-folk jamming of his earlier work for a deeply introspective, pastoral album. The record relies heavily on his intricate acoustic fingerpicking, subtle orchestrations, and half-spoken vocal delivery exploring themes of alcoholism and Midwest nostalgia. It is a remarkably patient, beautifully arranged piece of modern folk music.
