Album Notes & Community Reviews

Functioning as a highly ambitious concept album, 'Carolus Rex' details the rise and fall of the Swedish Empire, centered largely on the life of King Charles XII. Uniquely, the project was recorded and released in both English and Swedish, catering simultaneously to their international and domestic audiences. It stands as the final recording featuring four longtime band members before a major lineup fracture, yet remains one of their most commercially successful historical epics.
