That Lasts Forever

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On their second collaborative split album, 'That Lasts Forever', Sadness and abriction expand upon their established sonic territories, delivering a work of significant emotional weight and atmospheric depth. Sadness, the project of Damián Antón Ojeda, contributes sprawling tracks that merge the soaring, melodic sensibilities of shoegaze and post-rock with the intensity of blackgaze, characterized by ethereal soundscapes and layered instrumentation. Abriction, the solo project of Meredith Salvatori, complements this with compositions rooted in experimental post-rock and lo-fi ambiance, occasionally introducing witch-house and electronic elements that push the collaboration into new, genre-defying spaces.
