Album Notes & Community Reviews

Introducing vocalist Scott "Wino" Weinrich, 'Born Too Late' is an impeccably heavy, suffocatingly slow monolith of traditional doom metal. The album rejects the hyper-speed trend of 80s thrash in favor of agonizingly sluggish, Black Sabbath-indebted riffing and depressive lyricism regarding alienation and addiction. It is an incredibly pessimistic, introspective classic that heavily informed the future of sludge and stoner metal.
