Album Notes & Community Reviews

The spectacularly successful debut from the British singer-songwriter revolves around the powerhouse vocal delivery of its dramatic title track. The album blends polished pop-rock with deeply emotive, soul-inflected ballads focused on heartbreak and romantic passion. The massive international hit single cemented her status as a premier vocalist within the late-eighties pop-soul landscape.
