Survivors

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as a crucial precursor to the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, 'Survivors' features Samson operating as a gritty, blues-based hard rock trio. The album is anchored by Paul Samson's heavy guitar riffing and the thunderous, highly theatrical drumming of Thunderstick. Although vocalist Bruce Dickinson joined shortly after the recording, the record effectively laid the groundwork for their legendary, high-energy metallic output.
