Album Notes & Community Reviews

The founding quartet of Kim Duk-soo, Kim Yong-bae, Choi Jong-sil and Lee Kwang-su recorded 'Drums and Voices of Korea' after Asia Society board members funded an album following the group's New York performances. The program of farmers' dance music includes 'Youngnam Nong-ak', played on the four percussion instruments that give samulnori its name: kkwaenggwari, jing, janggu and buk.
