Album Notes & Community Reviews
Pivoting away from the dense, spiritual jazz-fusion of his previous few albums, Carlos Santana returned to the rhythmic, accessible Latin rock that initially made his band famous. The project introduced a potent funk influence and featured the lush, heavily emotional instrumental 'Europa (Earth's Cry Heaven's Smile)'. It marked a massive commercial resurgence for the group in the mid-1970s.
