Album Notes & Community Reviews
Following a prolonged commercial decline, the legendary Latin rock ensemble utilized an array of outside songwriters and heavy synthesizer production to achieve a modern radio hit. 'Beyond Appearances' significantly suppresses the group's trademark fiery percussion and extended guitar improvisations in favor of sleek, highly polished 80s dance-pop and AOR rock structures. The calculated pivot successfully yielded the hit single 'Say It Again,' briefly reinvigorating their mainstream chart presence.
