Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following several years of intense, deeply spiritual jazz-fusion exploration, Carlos Santana consciously guides his ensemble back toward the accessible, percussion-heavy Latin rock of their early commercial peak. The record balances highly rhythmic, festival-ready salsa workouts with smooth, soul-inflected vocal ballads. This pivot effectively reconnected the band with their mainstream audience while retaining an incredibly high level of instrumental virtuosity.
