Album Notes & Community Reviews

Attempting to regain commercial footing at the close of the decade, the guitar legend's ensemble enlisted Scottish vocalist Alex Ligertwood and leaned heavily into polished radio rock. While Carlos Santana's distinctive lead guitar remains central, the Latin percussion and complex jazz-fusion elements are significantly dialed back in favor of slick, highly accessible AOR melodies. The stylistic pivot successfully yielded mainstream hits like 'You Know That I Love You'.
