Afterglow

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Returning after a massive six-year hiatus following her late-90s cultural dominance, the Canadian songwriter delivers a remarkably pristine, highly polished collection of piano-driven ballads. The production is incredibly lush and atmospheric, perfectly framing her signature, breathy mezzo-soprano and deeply earnest explorations of romantic stability and anxiety. The album cemented her enduring legacy as a titan of sophisticated adult-contemporary pop.
