Album Notes & Community Reviews

Immersed entirely in slow-tempo, string-drenched orchestrations, the iconic vocalist utilizes the romantic settings to exhibit her astonishing octave range and operatic control. Her highly stylized, almost instrumental approach to phrasing transforms standard balladry into breathtaking displays of melodic invention and dynamic restraint.
