Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking his first solo album in over a decade, Saul Williams returns to the Big Dada label with a sweeping, experimental project named after his leap-year birthday. Carefully sequenced by producer Carlos Ni帽o, the record blurs the boundaries between slam poetry, free jazz abstraction, and glitchy electronic soundscapes. Williams utilizes his voice as a rhythmic, improvisational instrument, delivering deeply poetic and introspective reflections on colonialism, ancestry, and technology over immersive field recordings and contributions from artists like Kamasi Washington, Moor Mother, and Massive Attack's Robert Del Naja.
