Continuing their pattern of unannounced releases, the enigmatic collective's thirteenth album, 'Chapter 1', significantly features collaborations with the legendary American R&B production duo Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. The project pairs Inflo’s production and Cleo Sol’s lead vocals with the guest producers, integrating their classic sound with Sault's established framework of cinematic soul, funk, and gospel-inflected compositions. Featuring contributions from regular collaborator Jack Peñate, the album's arrangements incorporate blues, early rock and roll influences, and symphonic strings, with lyrics that often take on a mantra-like quality.
