Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released deliberately on Juneteenth against the backdrop of global protests following the murder of George Floyd, the enigmatic collective provides an essential soundtrack of Black liberation. The record seamlessly stitches together haunting gospel, militant funk, and spoken word into a profound statement of grief, anger, and radical self-love. It was universally heralded as one of the most culturally urgent and musically brilliant records of the year.
