Album Notes & Community Reviews

Attempting to heavily court a wider, American radio audience, the veteran New Wave of British Heavy Metal act employed a significantly more polished, commercial production style for their seventh album. 'Innocence Is No Excuse' introduces slicker vocal harmonies and a slightly subdued guitar tone, drawing direct inspiration from the burgeoning glam metal movement. While it alienated a significant portion of their rugged fan base, the record undeniably featured some of the band's most accessible songwriting.
