Ghostory

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating as a duo following the departure of founding member Claudia Deheza, the group notably shifted their heavily atmospheric dream pop toward a more muscular, rhythmic framework. The album leans intensely into slick synthesizer production and driving 1980s new-wave beats, significantly dialing back the hazy shoegaze guitars of their past. 'Ghostory' was conceived as a conceptual narrative concerning a young girl named Lafaye and the spectral entities that haunt her.
