Album Notes & Community Reviews
Breaking a decade of relative silence, Scott Walker delivered a chilling, incredibly cryptic exploration of avant-garde art rock and new wave aesthetics. The album eschews his sweeping 60s orchestration for fragmented, fretless basslines, jarring dissonances, and highly abstract, poetic vocal performances. 'Climate of Hunter' is a profoundly mysterious, atmospheric, and boldly uncompromising pivot into the dark experimentalism of his later career.
