Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Subliminal Plastic Motives' is a hyperactive, sample-heavy blast of alternative rock masterminded almost entirely by multi-instrumentalist Matt Mahaffey. The debut aggressively layers gritty grunge textures directly over infectious, highly eclectic power-pop hooks, completely rejecting the era's prevalent brooding angst. It serves as a brilliantly quirky, satirical showcase of dense studio maximalism.
