Lupercalia

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Italian duo creates an incredibly dense, profoundly atmospheric debut album deeply rooted in the ancient pagan mythology and folklore of the Apennine Mountains. 'Lupercalia' heavily incorporates traditional acoustic instrumentation, such as flutes and organs, into sprawling, heavily distorted black metal suites. The record serves as a remarkably melodic, deeply mysterious, and beautifully melancholic tribute to ancient European history.
