Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serge Gainsbourg's fourth album marks a pivotal shift as he infuses traditional French chanson with sophisticated Latin and cool jazz arrangements by Alain Goraguer. Lyrically, it showcases Gainsbourg's growing mastery of cynical, darkly poetic wordplay and deeply melancholic romanticism.
