Album Notes & Community Reviews

Narrated by Eleanor Roosevelt, this release presents the Russian composer's beloved symphonic fairy tale with immense charm and educational clarity. The Boston Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Serge Koussevitzky, brings the distinct instrumental characterizations of the animals to life with vibrant, highly detailed execution. It serves as a classic, deeply nostalgic introduction to classical music orchestration.
