Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Jamaican dancehall artist achieved unprecedented global crossover success with this remarkably slick, radio-friendly album. 'Hot Shot' heavily integrates smooth, American-style contemporary R&B production with Shaggy's signature, booming toasting style. Driven by the colossal, inescapable hit singles 'It Wasn't Me' and 'Angel', it remains one of the highest-selling reggae-adjacent albums in music history.
