Album Notes & Community Reviews
On 'Are We There', Sharon Van Etten crafts a devastatingly intimate portrait of a crumbling relationship, delivering her most powerful vocal performances to date. The album moves beyond sparse folk arrangements into lush, expansive production featuring omnichord, piano, and dramatic swells. It is a raw and cathartic masterpiece of heartbreak, balancing vulnerability with a newfound sense of artistic command.
